After the consolidation, this year's state budget is, in my opinion, the largest budget in the history of Azerbaijan, and we want to direct the increased opportunities to the development of our country and the social welfare of people with maximum efficiency, said President Ilham Aliyev as he made a speech at a meeting dedicated to the results of the first six months of this year, APA reports.
The head of state said: "In the next year's budget - of course, the parameters of the budget will still be discussed, there is still time, but I still see social policy as the main direction. In this direction, in this area, a lot of work has been done in recent years. However, we should always consider this area as a priority area. Therefore, look, make suggestions, what additional steps can be taken to ensure the social protection of people at the necessary level, and to solve the social issues of people from the most vulnerable category."
