CICA Media Forum held in Baku - PHOTO - UPDATED

The Media Forum of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on “Building Trust Through Media in a Polarized World,” held in Baku, has concluded its work, APA reports.

The event, attended by heads of local and foreign media organizations and diplomats, was organized by the Azerbaijan Media and Broadcasting Council.

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay, Representative of the President of Azerbaijan on Special Assignments Khalaf Khalafov and other guests attended the event.

Following the opening ceremony, the forum continued its work with two panel sessions titled “Azerbaijan’s Chairmanship: Initiatives, Cooperation, Results” and “The Role of Media in Strengthening Social Cohesion and Intercultural Dialogue.”

During the panel discussions, representatives of CICA member states exchanged views on initiatives implemented during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship, expanding cooperation among member states, strengthening mutual trust through the media, and promoting social cohesion and intercultural dialogue.

It should be noted that CICA is a multilateral platform that serves to promote peace, security and stability in Asia and strengthen trust and cooperation among its member states.
