Improving media literacy is one of the key conditions for building sustainable foundations of trust, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in his address to participants of the CICA Media Forum titled “Building Trust Through Media in a Polarized World,” APA reports.
The President said reliable information should become a quality indicator not only of professional journalism but of the entire information environment.
“Strengthening cooperation among state institutions, media organizations, digital platforms, journalists, researchers and civil society is of great importance in this regard. Improving media literacy and the responsible application of new technologies are also among the key conditions for building sustainable foundations of trust,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
