Mandate of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly MP revoked

The mandate of Gazanfar Abdullayev, a member of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, has been revoked, APA reports.

A meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was held today under the chairmanship of Chingiz Hasanli.

At the meeting, the commission first approved the minutes of its December 11, 2025 meeting.

The commission then considered an application regarding the deprivation of Gazanfar Ismayil oglu Abdullayev, a member of the 7th convocation of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, of his parliamentary mandate.

Abdullayev’s appeal was examined by the Central Election Commission in accordance with the legislation, and it was determined that there were legal grounds for revoking his mandate.

Taking into account Abdullayev’s application, the Central Election Commission decided to revoke his parliamentary mandate in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On Elections to the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.”
