A strike on Iran after the elections is possible, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with TIME magazine when asked whether military operations against Iran could be expanded after the midterm elections in his country, APA reports.
“It’s possible. We have a lot of weapons,” Trump said.
The journalist reminded Trump that last week he had said he could “destroy” Iran. The US President responded: “Yeah, I would do that. That’s possible.”
Asked how a “peace president” could call for the destruction of an entire people, Trump replied: “Because by destroying Iran, we’ve created peace in the world. I don’t think you can ever have peace with Iran.”
