The British Embassy in Azerbaijan has released a video regarding the visit of UK Minister of State for Defence Lord Vernon Coaker to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The embassy shared the video on its X account.
“During his second visit to Azerbaijan, UK Defence Minister Vernon Coaker met Azerbaijani officials to discuss how our countries can expand cooperation. Together, we are building a stronger partnership that supports security, drives innovation and creates opportunities for both the UK and Azerbaijan,” the post reads.
In the video, Lord Vernon Coaker recalled that his first visit to Azerbaijan was in December 2025.
“Following my first visit in December 2025, I met again with the President and my counterparts in Azerbaijani ministries,” the minister said.
He noted that in an increasingly uncertain and dangerous world, partnerships built on mutual trust and respect are more important than ever.
“Our strategic partnership will deepen cooperation on the issues that matter most, from economic growth to security and innovation,” Coaker said.
The British minister emphasized that his country’s defense industry is at the forefront of innovation.
“I am proud that, for the first time, a delegation of 18 UK companies is participating in the Azerbaijan Defence Exhibition at the UK Ministry of Defence stand,” he said.
Lord Vernon Coaker said he was concluding his visit with optimism and confidence that defense cooperation between the two countries would deepen further.
“I leave with confidence and optimism that we will continue to deepen our cooperation further,” the minister added.
