Azerbaijani President sends congratulatory letter to newly-elected President of International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach

The letter says: “I sincerely congratulate You on being elected as the President of the International Olympic Committee.

The support you have gained in the elections for this responsible position is an expression of great confidence in you by the international sports community and a high appreciation for your merits in the development of the Olympic movement.

I would like to express my satisfaction with the high level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the International Olympic Committee. I believe that we will further continue our successful cooperation for the triumph of the Olympic ideals.
