Georgia will import electricity from Azerbaijan without an intermediary company, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at a government meeting, APA's local bureau reports.
He emphasized that the use of intermediary companies for electricity imports is not planned in the future.
“It is very important that electricity imports from Azerbaijan are carried out without an intermediary. Electricity will no longer be imported from any country through an intermediary. In particular, in the case of Azerbaijan, eliminating the intermediary will allow the state to save several million lari annually, which is quite significant,” Irakli Kobakhidze added.
