“Moldova and Ukraine can only be ahead of Georgia in terms of negative indicators,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, Georgia is a thousand steps ahead of Ukraine, Moldova, and other candidate countries for European Union membership.
“We have our own path. Our path is the path of peace and economic development, and we will undoubtedly continue to move forward along this path,” the head of government added.
Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that if the European Commission adopts a fair, correct, and sound approach, Georgia’s European integration will continue without obstacles.
It should be noted that European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said yesterday that Georgia is an EU candidate country only on paper. She emphasized that she wished Georgia were at the same level as Moldova and Ukraine today.
