An Azerbaijani Army serviceman who crossed the border and entered the village of Shaki will remain in Armenia for a certain period, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said while answering questions in parliament, Sputnik Armenia said, APA reports.
He noted that all legal procedures related to the incident must be carried out.
According to Pashinyan, if village resident Ani Avetyan, who was injured during the incident, had waited for police officers to arrive, none of this would have happened.
“Children were the first to approach the house where the serviceman was hiding. They saw an unfamiliar person in the house and informed their mother about it. The woman then called the police, but she also decided to go to the scene herself and arrived there before the police officers,” he noted.
