Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix: 2,000 volunteers present at every moment of the race, from start to finish

During the 2026 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend at the Baku City Circuit, every second counts. Race cars complete laps at high speeds, grandstands fill up, and the flow of fans continues unabated. Amidst all this activity, approximately 2,000 volunteers are hard at work at their posts, Baku City Circuit told APA.

These volunteers can be found across various sections of the track. They assist fans with directions, welcome guests, staff information points, and support the race's operational processes behind the scenes.

The number of people wishing to join this team grows year by year. This year, 49,000 applications were received in just 72 hours. Over the past decade, more than 20,000 volunteers have become part of the Formula 1 races held in Baku.

Ultimately, Formula 1 is about more than just drivers and race cars; a vast team stands behind every moment of the event.
