Last month, money transfers worth $2.76 million were sent from Azerbaijan to Georgia, stated in a report by the National Bank of Georgia, APA's local bureau reports.
Compared to the same period last year, the amount decreased by 19.42%. Azerbaijan accounted for 0.81% of total money transfers received by Georgia.
During the reporting month, money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to $7.28 million, which is 38% higher than the figure recorded in the same period of last year.
In May, Georgia received a total of $339.85 million in money transfers from foreign countries. The volume of funds transferred from Georgia to foreign countries amounted to $37 million.
