Last month, money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to USD 2.98 million, a decrease of 4.88% year-on-year, the National Bank of Georgia said, APA’s local bureau reports.
In August, Azerbaijan's share of total money transfers received by Georgia stood at 1.01%.
Money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to USD 6.40 million, an increase of 4.58% compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting month, the total volume of money transfers sent to Georgia from abroad decreased by 8.2% year-on-year to USD 295.17 million. Meanwhile, USD 33.6 million was transferred from Georgia to foreign countries, down 5.8% compared to the same period last year.
