The United Kingdom sees significant potential for expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in digitalization, artificial intelligence and data infrastructure, UK Minister of State for Trade Lord Anas Sarwar said during his speech at the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-UK Joint Intergovernmental Commission in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that the United Kingdom is one of the world’s leading centers for research and innovation, while Azerbaijan has set ambitious plans for digitalization, artificial intelligence and data infrastructure.
According to the minister, Azerbaijan’s goals in this area can be combined with British expertise.
Lord Anas Sarwar added that cooperation could be developed not only between companies but also between educational institutions. In this regard, he noted that the University of Warwick could contribute to developing research and human resources capacity.
