The agreed strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom will cover a wide range of economic areas, including energy and port infrastructure, investment and education, UK Minister of State for Trade Lord Anas Sarwar said while answering journalists’ questions in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
Responding to a question about the economic content of the strategic partnership agreement, the minister said:
“It will, of course, include energy infrastructure, port infrastructure, investment, education and other areas. There is no limit to the opportunities.”
He added that the text of the strategic partnership has already been agreed and that the sides will begin establishing a working group without waiting for the document to be formally signed.
According to the minister, the new strategic partnership will go beyond traditional energy cooperation and will also cover education, digital innovation and technologies, infrastructure, the Middle Corridor and the defense industry.
