Azerbaijan has invited partners from the United Kingdom to participate in the country’s green energy corridor and energy connectivity projects, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said during his speech at the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-UK Joint Intergovernmental Commission in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, the strategic importance of electricity grids and regional connectivity is increasing. Azerbaijan is developing major green energy corridor projects that will connect the Caspian region and Central Asia with Europe.

The minister added that one of these routes envisages access to other markets via Nakhchivan and Türkiye through TRIPP.

“We invite our partners from the United Kingdom to participate in these and other green energy connectivity projects,” Parviz Shahbazov noted.

The minister said that the involvement of British company Xlinks in the process, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Green Corridor Alliance today, has created new opportunities for cooperation.
