Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization Deemah AlYahya on October 6, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
The meeting highlighted the importance of Azerbaijan's membership in the Digital Cooperation Organization in terms of implementing the country's digital transformation agenda and expanding international cooperation in the relevant field.
It was stated that digital transformation is one of the main priorities of state policy in Azerbaijan, and it was noted that consistent and systematic measures are being implemented in this direction under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
As a practical result of this policy, information was provided on the work carried out in the areas of developing digital infrastructure, digitalizing public services, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
The meeting discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Digital Cooperation Organization in areas of mutual interest and emphasized the importance of exchanging experience and implementing joint initiatives in various areas.
Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev attended the meeting.
