A webinar titled “Digital Innovations in Social Protection and Employment” was held to promote the exchange of experience on digital transformation in social protection and employment among member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population told APA.
The event was jointly organized by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
It was noted that the aim of the webinar was to share best practices in the application of digital technologies in social protection and employment systems and to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience among OIC member states.
More than 100 specialists from OIC member countries participated in the webinar, where ministry officials presented Azerbaijan’s experience in digital transformation in the fields of social protection and employment.
Information was provided on the achievements made in providing social services to citizens in a unified digital environment, integrating data and making services proactive.
The participants were also informed about the ministry’s Centralized Electronic Information System, digital information systems in the fields of labor and employment, and the work being carried out to facilitate citizens’ access to social services through e-systems and provide services in a more flexible and transparent manner.
