Azerbaijan's daily oil production, including condensate, amounted to 73,000 tonnes (552,000 barrels) in the first half of this year, the Ministry of Energy said, APA-Economics reports.
According to the Ministry, average daily crude oil production stood at 61,000 tonnes (449,000 barrels), while condensate production amounted to 12,000 tonnes (103,000 barrels) during the reporting period.
It should be noted that under the agreement reached by the ministers of the OPEC+ countries (the initiative involving OPEC and non-OPEC countries to reduce oil production), Azerbaijan's crude oil production quota is set at 551,000 barrels (74,259 tonnes) per day until the end of 2026.
Thus, Azerbaijan exceeded its OPEC+ crude oil production quota by 1,000 barrels per day in the first half of the year, while remaining 1,259 tonnes below the quota in tonnage terms.
