A total of 2.9 million tonnes of oil were refined in Azerbaijan in the first half of this year, unchanged compared to the same period last year, APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Energy.
It should be recalled that 6.2 million tonnes of oil were refined in Azerbaijan last year, up 6.9% year-on-year.
It should be noted that oil in Azerbaijan is refined at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was established in 1953. The refinery fully meets the country's demand for petroleum products. Reconstruction and modernization works are currently underway at the refinery.
