At a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara today, it was noted that Azerbaijan-Turkiye fraternal and friendly relations have further developed on the basis of an alliance with the signing of the Shusha Declaration and its approval by the parliaments of both countries, APA reports.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia during the post-conflict period. They also noted the importance of opening the Zangazur corridor, the prospects it created for the region, and the construction of the Kars-Nakhchivan railway in this regard.
During the conversation, they stressed the importance of Armenia's implementation of all the provisions of the Tripartite Declaration signed on November 10, 2020, and discussed the contacts between the Turkish and Armenian delegations.
