According to emergency services, the fire has engulfed all floors of the building and could threaten neighboring buildings. The fire's severity has been raised to level 3. The firefighting team has been increased to 125 firefighting vehicles and 25 pieces of equipment.

There have been no reports of casualties. The Admiralty District Prosecutor's Office of St. Petersburg is overseeing the investigation into the cause and circumstances of the fire. The exact cause will be determined based on the results of a fire safety investigation.

By order of the Chairman of the KGIOP, the "K. L. Miller Mansion and Apartment Building" has been included in the Unified State Register as a cultural heritage site of regional significance. The façades of the mansion and apartment building on Isaac's Square and Yakubovich Street, designed in eclectic style with elements of Italian Renaissance, have been preserved in accordance with the original design of 1879. The building retains its residential function.
