European countries still have not fulfilled their March commitment to release millions of barrels of oil from their reserves to the global market to lower energy prices, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced this on his Facebook page, APA reports.
"Under President [Donald] Trump's leadership, the United States is fulfilling its commitment to help stabilize global energy markets. Our European partners must accelerate their current commitments and immediately provide additional supplies to address ongoing disruptions. American farmers, truckers, and businesses should not bear the brunt of a global diesel shortage. America is doing its part. We count on our allies to back up their commitments with concrete actions," the Treasury Secretary wrote.
