"During my visit, which continues today, I have had the opportunity to observe the significant achievements of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan," Ian Saunders, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), told journalists during his official visit to Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
"I saw the Committee's commitment to comprehensive reform and modernization in line with World Customs Organization standards. The presentations made to me were highly impressive. They reaffirmed both the importance of international standards and the Customs administration's strong commitment to modernizing its operations.
I look forward to seeing even more innovations in the next stage. What I have seen so far, including the planning being carried out and the specific achievements I have become familiar with, has left a very positive impression on me," the Secretary General emphasized.
