Anshad Petrol slashes oil output by 6%

Baku. Vugar Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Anshad Petrol Joint Venture, developing onshore Neftchala, Khili and Babazanan fields, produced 29 500 tons of oil during January-August, a 6.1% decline on the same period last year. Oil output was 3 700 tons in August alone.
Anshad Petrol was established in 1993 by the PSA concluded by SOCAR (51%) and Turkish Attila Dogan (31.5%). During 1994-96 Atilla Dogan Petrol acted as an operator of Anshad Petrol JV, but SOCAR has assumed this function since 1997.
In 1995 Malaysian Land and General Berhad bought 17.15%-stake and joined the project.
