Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter wins license for Tokyo 2020

The national team of Azerbaijan has received another license for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games, Apasport.az reports.

Taekwondo fighter Farida Azizova won the next certificate for the national team.

Azerbaijani representative in the weight category of 67 kg excelled at the European Qualifying Tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria. She won this right by reaching the final. In the semifinals, Farida defeated Ukrainian taekwondo fighter Tatiana Teterevyatnikova.

Thus, the number of licenses of the national team for Tokyo 2020 has reached 21. Farida became the second member of our taekwondo team to achieve this. Earlier, Milad Beigi Harchegani (80 kg) had a chance to perform in the Japanese capital.
