Pirated or counterfeit goods may be surrendered to the state, APA reports.
This is reflected in an amendment to the Customs Code discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft, when a decision is made that goods transported across the customs border are pirated or counterfeit, the person concerned must either immediately take those goods back out of the customs territory, destroy them, or voluntarily surrender them to the state.
Following discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
