The full implementation of risk-based supervision mechanisms will be among the key priorities in the next stage of the development of Azerbaijan's insurance sector, said Aliyar Mammadyarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the 11th Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum (AIIF-2026) held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, work will continue during the next strategic period on the full establishment of risk-based supervision mechanisms, the transition from a reactive supervision model to a proactive one, the expansion of digital solutions, and the study of advanced international practices.
A. Mammadyarov noted that these measures will serve to increase the resilience of the insurance sector, establish a more effective supervisory system in the market, and create a more favorable environment for participants.
He added that the forum will contribute to further deepening cooperation among insurance sector participants and to the development of new initiatives serving mutual interests.
