Azerbaijan posts 12% growth in industrial production

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s industrial growth was 12% during January-September, said the countryâ€™s top body.
The State Statistical Committee said industrial production reached AZN 24.2 billion during this period. The growth was 12.4% in oil sector and 8.2% in non-oil sector.
The growth was 11.6% in oil extraction, 57.5% in gas production, 1.2% in foodstuff production, 53.7% in chemicals production, 36.2% in fur, leather and shoes making, 32.6% in metallurgy, and 9.8% in electronic machine and equipment making, etc.
Industrial services accounted for 5.3% of production. The share of the private sector was 83% in production.
