Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. “Uzeyir Hajibeyli-125†International Music Festival continues in Baku, APA reports. The musicians from about ten countries are participating in the festival. But unfortunately, several foreign musicians participating in the festival named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli say they do not know the Azerbaijani composer.
American David Lively, Russian pianists Alexander Gindin, Sergei Kudryakov performing in the concert at Azerbaijan State Philharmonic society on September 20 said they did not know the famous composer. Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev answered the journalists’ question about it:
“We hold such festivals so that foreign musicians can know the Azerbaijani culture better and study the works by Azerbaijani composers together with our musicians. World-known musicians coming here are already studying the Azerbaijani music profoundly.â€
