Baku. Ulkar Gasimova â€“ APA. â€œThe level of Azerbaijani music is a pride not only for Azerbaijan, but also for the entire East and Muslim world. The world community has focused its attention on the present state of our music. The talent, creativeness of the Azerbaijani people is inexhaustible. The new, modern music culture of Azerbaijan is being built on this basis and the builders are strong enough,â€ Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev told journalists, APA reports.

According to the Minister, September 18 is marked as National Music Day in Azerbaijan, it is a great holiday.
â€œThe International Music Festival named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli will be opened today. The festival will be devoted to the triumph, recognition of Uzeyirâ€™s music in the whole world. We are sure that this festival will have a special place in the music life of Azerbaijan. Outstanding musicians from various countries are interested in the Uzeyir festival. We will watch the program of the musicians from Canada to Singapore,â€ he said.

Abulfas Garayev also added that events on the 125th jubilee of Uzeyir Hajibeyli would be held in Turkey, Austria and Greece. A jubilee concert will be held before the composerâ€™s monument in Vienna on September 22, a few days later a concert will be held in Athens.
