Abulfaz Garayev meets with head of the Pontifical Council for Culture, Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev met with the head of the Pontifical Council for Culture, Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi who was on a visit to our country, APA reports. Speaking about his visit to Vatican and Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasiâ€™s visit to our country, Garayev said that these visits were an example for development of relations between Azerbaijan and Vatican in culture sphere.

Ravasi noted that he was satisfied with the development of cooperation between Vatican and Azerbaijan in culture sphere and reminded Alim Gasimovâ€™s concert in Vatican with great pleasure. Touching upon possible directions of mutual cooperation, Ravasi said that holding of joint events, academic structures, cooperation between educational institutions, giving grants to students for studying in Rome, cooperation in the sphere of working at museum and archives of Vatican are important for extension of cultural exchange and for acquaintance of catholic world with Azerbaijani culture.
