President orders to host 150th anniversary of the great songster

Baku â€“ APA. The President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev has issued today an order on hosting and holding the events devoted to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding representative of the Azerbaijani art, songster, known musical figure, people’s artist of Azerbaijan Jabbar Garyagdy oglu, APA reports quoting â€œAzerTAcâ€ news agency.
The masterly performer of mugam, Jabbar Garyagdy oglu has played an important role in the development of the national musical culture. Worthily keeping on the rich traditions of the Azerbaijani school of mugam, which has the ancient historical roots, and thanks to his natural talent, he has created for the modern generation of the songsters the bright sample of the classic performance.
For the purpose of assuring the solemn holding the 150th anniversary of outstanding musical master Jabbar Garyagdy oglu, who has the greatest merits in preservation of Azerbaijanâ€™s mugam and masterpieces of the folk music, the presidential order enacts the below-mentioned:
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Republic, in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic, is entrusted to draw up and carry out a plan of events, devoted to the 150th anniversary of Jabbar Garyagdy oglu.
The Cabinet of Azerbaijan Republic is to solve all issues proceeding from the present Order.
