Night of Azerbaijani mugham held in Moscow

APAâ€™s Moscow correspondent reports that Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, head of Moscow representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and a lot of guests viewed the exhibition of Azerbaijani mugham. Deputy Culture Minister of Russia Andrei Busigin expressed his gratitude to the participants of the event.

Head of Moscow representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva noted that mugham had always been the wealth of Azerbaijani culture.
â€œFor us mugham is a genetic code side by side with our language, art and literature. Mugham united mugham opera, jazz-mugham and other genres and its name is attributed to such culture figures as Uzeyir Hajibayov, Niyazi, Vagif Mustafazadeh,â€ she said.

According to Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, the traditions founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev are successfully and worthily continued by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and head of Moscow representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.

Further, the documentary dealing with history and current state of Azerbaijani mugham was demonstrated and a concert was held with the participation of winners and laureates of International Mugham Contest held in Baku in 2009.
