During the telephone conversation, issues of bilateral cooperation in economic, transport, energy and other areas were discussed.
The importance of accelerating the completion of joint projects, including a new transit route and joint dams in Astara, was also emphasized.
At the same time, the parties agreed to open shortly a new transit checkpoint between the two countries on the Astara section of the border with the participation of the co-chairs of the Azerbaijani-Iranian state commission.
