Azerbaijan detains border violator in direction of Georgia

Azerbaijani Border Troops of the State Border Service stopped an attempt to violate the border in the Balakan region, APA reports.

On November 25, at 19:20, border guards detained Iqbal Syed Kashif, a citizen of Pakistan, born in 1994, was detained while trying to cross the state border in the direction of Georgia in the service area of the border post located near Yeni Sharif village of Balakan district.

During the investigation, it was determined that the detained person intends to officially arrive on the territory of the country, cross the state border, and migrate from the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, and from there to one of the European countries.

Operational-investigative measures are being continued.
