In July of this year, Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production stood at 453,000 barrels, which represents a decrease of 4,000 barrels compared to the previous month, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

The figure stood at 457,000 barrels in June.

According to the report, Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production amounted to 454,000 barrels in the first quarter of the year and 457,000 barrels in the second quarter. Thus, the figure increased by 3,000 barrels in the second quarter of the year.

It is reported that Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production stood at 461,000 barrels in 2025, which is 20,000 barrels less compared to the 2024 figure.

Recall that Azerbaijan is a participant in the OPEC+ agreement. OPEC+ is an initiative to reduce oil production (in order to balance the market – ed.) involving OPEC and non-OPEC countries. According to the agreement reached by OPEC+ ministers, Azerbaijan’s production quota stands at 551,000 barrels per day until the end of 2026.

Thus, in July, Azerbaijan fell 98,000 barrels short of its quota under OPEC+.
