The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), under the Department of Energy, has released its forecast for global daily production of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons for 2026-2027, APA-Economics reports, citing the EIA's monthly report.
Global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons is expected to average 109.74 million barrels in 2027 (previous forecast – 109.84 million barrels), which is 8.92 million barrels higher than the forecast figure for 2026.
At the same time, the EIA has revised its forecast for global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2026. According to the forecast, global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons will average 100.82 million barrels this year (previous forecast – 101.89 million barrels), which is 5.3 million barrels lower than last year's figure.
It is noted that global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons averaged 106.12 million barrels in 2025, an increase of 2.95 million barrels compared with the 2024 figure of 103.17 million barrels.
Recall that global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons averaged 102.02 million barrels in 2023.
