Global gold demand, including over-the-counter (OTC) transactions, remained unchanged at 1,269 tonnes in the second quarter of this year compared to the same period last year, the World Gold Council said, APA-Economics reports.
According to the report, total global gold demand reached 2,522 tonnes in the first half of this year, marking a 2% increase compared to the same period last year.
The report also states that the value of gold demand rose to a record high of USD 380 billion.
