Samir Nuriyev informed about the preparation process for COP29 under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, that the initiatives of our country have been announced to the general public these days, and that the appointed president of COP29 has informed all parties of the Framework Convention of the plans and expectations of this prestigious event. said that he addressed a detailed letter.
The head of the Presidential Administration pointed out that the COP29 presidency studies the position of all states and other interested parties, participates in important international meetings, works actively, and emphasized that our country will spare no effort to reach a consensus between developed and developing countries on the amount of new climate finance.
Samir Nuriyev also talked about the events to be held in Azerbaijan within the COP29 preparation process, the conditions to be created for the delegations and other participants who will attend the conference, support for civil society's participation in COP29, and the work done in the field of communication.
Simon Steele expressed his satisfaction with the work carried out by Azerbaijan in the direction of the successful holding of COP29, that support for small island countries is included in Azerbaijan's agenda, and said that the UN is ready to provide all possible assistance to Azerbaijan in connection with the organization of COP29.
