At least 30 people have been killed and 18 others injured in a Russian strike on passenger buses in the city of Kramatorsk in Ukraine's Donetsk region, Ukrainska Pravda reports, citing Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, and the regional prosecutor's office.
According to the report, the strike was carried out at around 10:00 a.m. on October 8. Two buses carrying passengers were targeted in the attack.
Initial reports indicated that 12 people had been killed and 14 others injured. However, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office later announced that the death toll had risen to 30, while the number of injured had increased to 18.
According to the Ukrainian side, the buses are believed to have been hit by precision-guided aerial bombs.
