Russian President Vladimir Putin has brought Sergei Surovikin, the former commander-in-chief of the Aerospace Forces nicknamed "General Armageddon," back into the war in Ukraine, the British newspaper The Telegraph reports.
According to the publication, Putin has recalled General Surovikin with orders to destroy all bridges in Kyiv. The general has been tasked with dividing Kyiv into two parts, which would completely paralyze the entire northern part of Ukraine.
It should be noted that following the military mutiny led by Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin in June 2023, reports emerged that Surovikin had been involved in the rebellion and was therefore recalled from the Ukrainian front.
Some time ago, Telegram channels reported that the general had returned to Moscow after serving in Algeria and was expected to receive a new position soon.
