Foreign nationals attempting to violate the state border have been detained, the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.
According to the report, as a result of operational and troop measures carried out on October 6 in the service area of the Zagatala border detachment of the Border Troops of the State Border Service, one citizen of the Kingdom of Morocco was detained while attempting to violate the state border from the Republic of Azerbaijan in the direction of Georgia.
On October 7, two citizens of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were detained in the service area of the Shamkir border detachment while attempting to violate the state border from the Republic of Azerbaijan in the direction of Georgia.
Operational and investigative measures regarding the cases are ongoing.
