Head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov will visit Armenia next week, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a briefing, APA reports.
According to him, the visit will include discussions on the development of Armenia's railway infrastructure, including the possible construction of railway lines towards Kars and Nakhchivan.
The issue of the concession held by South Caucasus Railways (SCR), a subsidiary of Russian Railways, for the management of Armenia's railways is also expected to be on the agenda of the meetings.
Pashinyan previously stated that Armenia wanted to resolve the railway concession issue with Russia amicably. He cited the transfer of the concession rights to a third country acceptable to both Armenia and Russia as a possible option.
