The first meeting of the heads of state institutions responsible for religious affairs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is being held in the city of Shusha, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.
The meeting is attended by the Secretary General of the OTS, as well as the heads of the state institutions responsible for religious affairs of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
The participants are discussing the regulation of state-religion relations, religious education and awareness, legislation, personnel training, the preservation of the common religious and cultural heritage, the development of inter-sectarian and interfaith dialogue, and cooperation in combating religious radicalism and extremism.
At the end of the meeting, the parties are expected to sign a Communiqué reflecting their agreed position and future areas of cooperation.
