"The role of Central Asia in global processes is steadily increasing," Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the Informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries, APA's correspondent dispatched to Kyrgyzstan reports.
"In recent years, intra-regional trade has been growing steadily, business ties have expanded, joint ventures have been established, joint investment projects have been implemented, and humanitarian contacts have strengthened. Cultural, educational, and youth exchanges have also gained new substance and quality. All these positive developments contribute to bringing our brotherly peoples closer together and strengthening the region's international standing.
The role of Central Asia in global processes is steadily increasing. Our voice is being heard ever more strongly on the international stage. A clear example of this was Azerbaijan's election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
Kazakhstan welcomes the agreements reached to further strengthen friendship, good-neighborly relations, and strategic partnership among our countries. I am confident that through our joint efforts we will achieve even greater success on the path of shared progress.
In conclusion, I wish our Turkmen friends and brothers every success in hosting the upcoming events within the framework of the Consultative Meeting format," the Kazakh President said.
