"The European Union is making a major mistake by excluding Georgia from political dialogue formats during discussions on connectivity," Georgian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said in an interview with Imedi TV, APA's local bureau reports.
According to her, this position is also detrimental to the EU itself, as connectivity is in the interests of both sides.
The foreign minister noted that the Georgian authorities will continue working to make the most of the country's potential stemming from its geographical location.
The minister added that political dialogue is essential for both the EU and Georgia.
"The European Union should be interested in maintaining intensive political dialogue with Georgia. The opportunity for dialogue always exists; what matters is the political will. The European Union must make a political decision and continuously adjust its approach in line with Europe's needs."
