The last day of the competition final fights have been held on 5 weight categories.

Representatives of Azerbaijan went in the ring four of them. Of these, Albert Salimov and Parviz Bagirov thanks to a landslide victory rose to the highest step of the podium. Abdulkadir Abdullayev (91 kg) was declared the winner without fighting in the ring. This is due to the fact that the representative of Ukraine, a boxer of Armenian origin Gevorg Manukyan had a problem with his health. 7 From our boxers reached the final only Khaibulla Musaliev defeated and left the ring satisfied with the silver medal.

Thus, Azerbaijani boxing team completed performance at the I European Games, winning 6 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.

This gold medal was the 4th in a coin box of our boxing team, the 19th award for the highest standard of our team.
