United States President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that he had prevented the "total obliteration" of the world, claiming that his administration managed to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, APA reports.
Asked by a reporter who should receive this year's Nobel Peace Prize, Trump pointed to his efforts that resulted in ending eight wars and saving millions of lives. "I got all the hostages back. I did things that nobody else has ever done," Trump told the press pool in the Oval Office. "Whether I get it [the Nobel Peace Prize] or not, I have done far more," the president stressed, "and that would be a big discredit to them," he added.
"Look, [former US President Barack] Obama got it, and he didn't do anything. He still doesn't know what he got it for," Trump said.
