Ramin’s participation in the tournament came to an end. Tot advanced to the ¼ finals with a shido point, according to apasport.az.

Elkhan Mammadov met with Lucas Krpalek in the 1/8 finals. His opponent defeated him with an ippon.

Another Azerbaijani judoka Ushangi Kokauri (100kg) took on Georgian Levan Matiashvili in the 1/8 finals. Kokauri lost his chances after his opponent’s ippon against him.

Gunel Hasanli lost to her Assunta Galeone (Italy) after the latter used an ippon.

Note that, our judo team has one silver. Orkhan Safarov (60kg) lost in the final only.

Baku – APA. Azerbaijani judokas Ramin Gurbanov and Elkhan Mammadov are through to the 1/8 finals.

Exempt from the first round, Ramin Gurbanov joined the tournament in the 1/16 finals, according to pasport.az.

R. Gurbanov (90kg) defeated his Portuguese opponent Celio Diasta, who also joined the tournament in this round. At the 70th second, Gurbanov used ippon, which qualified him for the next round. He will meet with Christian Tot (Hungary) in the 1/8 finals.

E. Mammadov (100kg) wrestled with Zlatko Kumrich (Croatia) in the 1/61 finals. The Azerbaijani athlete claimed an easy win over his opponent, with an ippon at the 145th second. He will take on Lucas Krpalek in the 1/8 finals.
